Back & Core today So how long does everyone usually work out for? . I do approx 1 hour per session, 4/5 times a week Session length is actually very important in achieving your goals. . To achieve a toned physique each “Body Type” should do a different style of activity: Ectomorph’s (Skinny, hard to put muscle on) - up to 45mins of intense strength training 3 days a week with 48h rest of the last trained body area + avoid cardio! This also includes a large calorie surplus with a high volume of protein. Endomorph (“Big Boned”, Stores fat easily) - 4 days a week strength training + 2 days of Cardio/HITT aiming for 1-1.5 hours - calorie deficit needs to be achieved but only by a small amount. Eating the bare minimum will not help and can actually cause more damage than good. Mesomorph (The lucky ones, natural athletic build) - 5 days a week, training for around 1 hour with a variety of exercises including plyometrics, power, and technical - need to have a low fats diet and a neutral calorie intake. . The big thing is that most people are a mix of all the somatotypes but one is generally more of one than the others and should focus on that one. .
